Separation & Divorce Mediation

Separation and divorce mediation provides a structured, confidential forum for separating spouses or partners to negotiate practical arrangements and reach a mutually acceptable resolution without unnecessary conflict.

Muxlow Mediation supports parties in identifying issues, exchanging relevant information, and documenting agreed terms, including parenting schedules and decision-making, child and spousal support, division of property and debts, and other separation-related matters. The process is voluntary and interest-based, with a focus on durable, workable agreements and forward-looking co‑parenting arrangements. Where requested, draft terms may be prepared based on the parties’ instructions, and both parties are strongly encouraged to obtain Independent Legal Advice prior to signing.

Child-Inclusive Mediation

Child-Inclusive Mediation is a family mediation process that ensures a child’s voice is appropriately considered in parenting discussions, in a developmentally appropriate and child-focused way.

With the consent of the parents/guardians, a trained professional meets with the child(ren) to understand their perspectives, experiences, and needs, and then shares a neutral summary with the parents to help inform decision-making. This approach supports parents in developing parenting arrangements that promote the child’s well-being, reduce conflict, and improve communication while keeping responsibility for decisions with the adults.

Marriage Counselling

Muxlow Mediation offers marriage counselling and relationship support services for couples seeking to strengthen communication, rebuild trust, and address recurring areas of conflict in a structured, supportive setting. Sessions focus on practical skills and goal-oriented discussions to help couples clarify concerns, improve problem‑solving, and develop workable strategies for moving forward together. This service is distinct from mediation.

Prenuptial & Postnuptial Agreements

Muxlow Mediation assists couples who wish to negotiate and document a marriage contract either before or after marriage. The process provides a respectful, structured setting to identify goals, exchange and summarize relevant financial information, and work through key terms such as property and debt, treatment of gifts and inheritances, spousal support, and other financial expectations during the relationship and on separation. Where requested, draft terms may be prepared based on the parties’ instructions, and both parties are strongly encouraged to obtain Independent Legal Advice prior to signing.

Cohabitation Agreements

Muxlow Mediation assists couples who are living together—or planning to live together—in negotiating and documenting a cohabitation agreement in a respectful, structured setting. The process helps parties clarify expectations and reach agreement on key financial and practical issues such as property and debt, contributions to shared expenses, treatment of gifts and inheritances, spousal support, and arrangements if the relationship ends. Where requested, draft terms may be prepared based on the parties’ instructions, and both parties are strongly encouraged to obtain Independent Legal Advice prior to signing.

Child Protection Mediation

Child Protection Mediation is a structured, facilitated process that helps parents/caregivers and child welfare professionals work through child protection concerns in a focused, respectful, and child-centred manner. Muxlow Mediation supports parties in clarifying issues, improving communication, and developing practical plans that may address child safety, parenting time/contact, placement arrangements, service participation, and next steps. The process is designed to reduce conflict, support timely decision-making, and, where appropriate, assist in resolving matters without prolonged litigation, while keeping the child’s best interests and well‑being at the centre of all discussions.
